BALLROOM RECEPTIONS
The first floor Regency Ballroom was added to the house in the early nineteenth century to enable the visiting Prince Regent to dance there with his mistress Lady Conyngham (who arrived via a secret tunnel from the Dower House). Happily the Ballroom can now accommodate rather more than just two people and a chamber orchestra, as the floor has been strengthened, so seated meals for up to 80 people or 100 for a canapé reception can be offered. The Ballroom will soon be available for civil ceremonies.
