BALLROOM RECEPTIONS
The first floor Regency Ballroom was added to the house in the early nineteenth century to enable the visiting Prince Regent to dance there with his mistress Lady Conyngham (who arrived via a secret tunnel from the Dower House). Happily the Ballroom can now accommodate rather more than just two people and a chamber orchestra, as the floor has been strengthened, so seated meals for up to 80 people, 60 guests for dinner dances or 100 for a canapés reception can be offered.  The Ballroom is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 100 people.
